WE CAN SHIP!

Lovers!! It's real, it's real, it's reeeeeeeally really real! The cottage food laws have changed in my favor and I can officially (and legally) ship cookies! NOW, that being said, I'm a little overwhelmed at the thought of such an endeavor. I feel like a dog who finally caught a car. I got what I've been barking about for years but what now?! I'm a lil fish in this big ole pond of life and there is only so much I can do. Let me now gripe and complain about this amazing opportunity I have been given:

Shipping scares the poop out of me. Shipping is expensive, time consuming and a gamble. I bought cute pink fragile stickers, and I will be doing my best to bubble wrap the crap out of these puppies to ensure safe travels, but there's only so much one lil pooper can do. If anybody has cookie shipping wisdom to impart I'm all ears!

I'm already swamped with in-town orders and what-not. WELP my little pooper pies (k that's like the 3rd poop reference in 3 paragraphs, I'll try to ease up) this is very true, but it is also true that I'm always overwhelmed no matter what, so I might as well give myself a real reason to be. Right??! I also have some really exciting plans that I am working on to expand Unco's order-taking capabilities. If you are, or know, a home baker who might be interested in joining a group I'm building called "Friends Of UNCO" please hit me up and I'll give you the low-down! But that is another story for another day!

I'm already the WORST at responding to people in a timely fashion, do I really want to add more to that? Anyone who has ordered from me knows that I SUCK at communication. It's a constant struggle and I'm working on it. God couldn't make me gorgeous AND good at business right?!? I will continue to work on improving and being a real business person and try to limit myself to only 5 emojis per professional email... K what has this blog devolved into? God also couldn't make me good at writing apparently...

Back to shipping!!! All anxiety aside I am incredibly excited for this change! To be able to ship is going to be a game changer and I can't wait to see where this leads!

I'm also going to do a lil tester box to see if people are in to the idea of themed boxes again! I failed miserably at promoting the quarterly boxes, but they were fun to do and I really miss doing the subscription boxes. This would be sort of a hybrid of the two ideas. They would be limited quantities of a themed box set to ship out on a specified day! My first theme is going to be Summer Luvin' and it will be shipping out August 29th! This first box will only be available in the Baker's Dozen size (around 13 cookies) and will include some fun surprise cookies based on that theme!

I'll try to do holiday pre-orders and all of that fun stuff as well! Bear with me as I work all this out! The hamster on the wheel in my brain isn't doing the greatest these days but she's sure tryin'!
